Edgar Hernandez

Edgar Hernandez – Sculptor, Painter, Mixed Media and 3D Artist.
Ever since his childhood in Guadalaraja, Mexico. Edgar was aware of his passion for art. He has always loved to explore his imagination to create fantastic worlds and new characters. Edgar’s initial forays into art were spent in drawing and painting. Later, in his teens, he formed a funk band in which he played bass, eventually landing a record deal with Warner Music.
In subsequent years, Mr. Hernandez decided to explore the worlds of 2D and 3D animation, studying with Jaime Jasso, (who presently works in the Visual Effects Dept. at LucasFilm), character animator Ruben Perez, artist/painter Sandra Mendez and other great artists. Additionally, Edgar has had the opportunity to study art and sculpture with the internationally recognized Mexican sculptor and restorer Juan Jose Mendez.
While growing up and living in Mexico, and now, having moved to the United States, Edgar has always had the conviction of finding and developing new concepts that help to channel his emotions, ideas and visual interpretations. Edgar’s pieces are the products of a highly complex artistic process - manipulating colors, feelings and expressions that result in unique and original works of great visual power.
